Real Estate Appraiser Southampton

Southampton was settled in 1640 by Puritans, while the name came from a British Earl. The area became the first English settlement in the State of New York. This fact is stated on the town's official seal. Due to its distance from Manhattan, Southampton was originally in the Connecticut colony until 1664. That was back in the day. Now it is part of New York. Wealthy celebrities who own properties in the Hamptons include Jerry Seinfeld, Steven Spielberg, the Hiltons, Kelly Ripa, and Martha Stewart.
The Town of Southampton includes the hamlets of Bridgehampton, Eastport, East Quogue, Flanders and several others. There are many small rural areas in eastern Long Island. Some of these are relatively unknown to most New Yorkers. In fact, you'd be hard pressed to find someone in west Suffolk that has ever heard of Remsenburg. Yet it does exist. It's just very small. While there is not much there, Remsenburg (which combines with the hamlet of Speonk) is a truly scenic location. The town is filled with all sorts of interesting wildlife. We know there are deer out there. Probably some foxes too. And yes, raccoons and squirrels.
